Free lecture sponsored by the Center for Lincoln Studies at the University of Illinois at Springfield Student Union Ballroom. Colleen Shogan, former archivist of the United States, will draw on Lincoln's inspiration from the Declaration of Independence to warn against increasing politization of archives, libraries  and museums. She will argue that "nonpartisanship is essential for civic trust and national unity," event sponsors say.
